My 1998 photo album.

This food stuff is pretty neat... or at least rice is. I guess I'm really getting into my Japanese side.

Dad teaches me some new dance moves. How do you like my new dress?

No autographs, please. The family takes a tour of the rooftop garden at the shiny new Hawaii Convention Center.

Look out, mom. I just might grow up to be a drummer.

Three's company.

Enjoying the scenery during an afternoon stroll with daddy through Waikiki.

Seven months old, and babbling like it's going out of style. But what's this on my tummy? Either mom's memory is really bad, or she's got too much sugar in her diet.

Check it out!
Mom and dad took me to get some fancy photos over the Fourth of July weekend! I still think I'm much cuter in person. Happy birthday grandma Myra and grandpa Ed!

Aren't I an angel? I'm so smart, sometimes I roll over in my sleep.

I think I'm looking more like mom every day.

I spend a day in the sun at Waimanalo Beach Park.

I get cozy with one of my favorite toys during another stroll in the park.

Mom and I enjoy a blustery day in the park. Can't you just feel the love?

A big smile during a visit to grandma's house.

I play the rattle as I sing to R. Kelly's "I Believe I Can Fly." I really like this "music" stuff.

I love baths almost as much as playing games with mommy.

After a warm bath, I'm all dressed up and ready for a night on the town.

I get an adorable hat from grandma's coworker. It should fit in, oh, four months or so.

I spend a quiet Valentine's Day with mom and dad.

A relaxing moment for me while mommy watches the Nagano Winter Olympics.

Mommy and I play as I recover from a little bug.

Mommy and I relax to Mozart at grandma's house in Mililani.

My last night at Kapi`olani Medical Center.

Mommy and I, resting after a late-night feeding. Mmmm, tasty.

I was born Katherine Masami Kilinahe Ozawa at 11:38 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 26, 1998 at Kapi`olani Medical Center for Women and Children. I weighed six pounds 3.3 ounces, and was 19.5 inches tall.

With this perspective, the ultrasound technician was certain I would be a girl. See me, head down, viewed from above? I'm curled against the right of the image. No boy part, therefore...

My second ultrasound, performed 23 December 1997. I'm 35 weeks (8 mos.), and weigh about 5.5 pounds. This image (turned right side up) is of my face, looking right at the "camera." My right eye and nose are the most visible; my left hand is curled thoughtfully under my chin. I'm a natural... I get it from my mom.

My first ultrasound, performed 1 July 1997. I'm 10 weeks, and about the size of a peanut. Amazing, isn't it?

That's it. Everything before July is one big watery blur. So listen to my latest speech, watch me do my thing, go back to the latest picture page, or to my main page.
