We'll be electing new Board members for the coming year, presenting some well-deserved awards, sharing our accomplishments, and, mainly, spending some time with you to talk story and have a great dinner prepared by our Board President and cook extraordinaire - Helen Sternthal. Also back by popular demand Helen will present her lce Cream Sundae Dessert Bar.

Nani 'O Wai`anae continues to be the only certified affiliate of Keep America Beautiful, Inc. on Oahu. We are asked by State and County governments to coordinate various community work projects because of the excellent work that all of you have done. This year's accomplishments include: completing the Green Gateway beautification project at the entrance to Wai`anae town by planting hundreds of trees and plants; maintaining the requirements for certification as a National Keep America Beautiful affiliate; receiving a clean stream/dumping hotline grant from the city; receiving a grant from the Department of Land and Natural Resources Kaulunani Forestry Division through Oahu Resource Conservation and Development Council, Inc.; participating with Malama Makua in the international monitoring and Marine Debris Study at Makua; and we're celebrating our tenth year of service to the people of the Wai`anae Coast, and as leaders to Oahu in environmental projects.
